Purpose of Qualification

The purpose of the qualification is to enable qualifying learners to apply the relevant competences required for proactive participation as a Ward Committee member so that they achieve municipal objectives.

What do I become upon completion of the course?

  • Ward committee officer
  • Ward committee member

Am I the right person for this qualification?

The qualification is aimed at any learners who come from various backgrounds and will be persons who have been nominated by their community onto a Ward Committee to represent the needs of the community, while archiving municipal objectives.

 What do I need for registration?

  • Communication at NQF Level 1 and
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1

Training Methodology

The PID training approach is highly interactive. A combination of presentations is used by the facilitator and by participant(s). The learners have an opportunity for exposure to a variety of methodologies such as group or individual exercises, case studies and role plays. These proven learning techniques enhance understanding and retention of the different focus issues.

Blended Learning Approach

PID uses mostly Blended Learning Approach which involves using a variety of instructional resources and teaching methods in order to deliver content in multiple ways such as Distance Learning, Online Learning and Contact Learning.
